The Faculty
Nanette Glencer is the administrator of Oak Trails Montessori School located in Ann Arbor, MI. Nanette is a certified Montessori teacher for ages three through six, and she has her MEd. in Montessori elementary education from Endicott University. Nanette was the first Montessori teacher in the country to become a National Board Certified Teacher/Early Childhood Generalist. Nanette also graduated from Walsh College with a Master's Degree in Finance.
Nanette has presented at local, state, and national early childhood conferences, and she is a frequent lecturer on Montessori at local colleges and universities. Her two children are graduates of Oak Trails School.
Class is a maximum ratio of 1:8. Spanish is taught and encompasses the culture and histories of the countries where Spanish is spoken. Spanish is used daily with the children, and the children learn conversational phrases and sentences. Once children have had lessons in English, the same materials may be presented in Spanish. Music, art, and physical education are part of each day.
All classroom directors have Montessori certification. All staff has American Red Cross Emergency First Aid and CPR certification.
